Turning 40 deserves a proper celebration, and this poolside party at a luxury villa in Marbella, arranged at one of the prestigious properties managed by Swish Marbella, delivered exactly that. A sophisticated black, white and gold colour palette ran through every element of the décor, styled around the pool for a full day-into-evening celebration for one of Swish Marbella's own team, celebrating their own milestone birthday at one of the villas they look after.
The team behind the day
Event planning was led by Tara Lorimer, who brought the whole day together, with lighting and sound handled by Star Events. Our role was the event design, creating the overall feel for the special birthday occasion, featuring welcome signs, signage, candles, pool balloons and a beautiful light-up number display as the main focal point.
The look
Oversized white round helium balloons, finished with sheer tulle tails and tiny fairy lights, elevated the atmosphere as they floated high above the pool. Scattered around the garden and terrace, they gave guests a series of photo moments throughout the birthday evening.
From arrival to tablescape
Guests were welcomed with personalised signage as they arrived, and the same black, white and gold palette carried through to the poolside tablescapes, crisp white linens, gold-rimmed glassware and soft white floral arrangements, with the marquee numbers glowing in the background as the sun went down.
